If
you answered YES, you need to check your policy to see
if you are covered. To automatically receive this coverage,
you would require an endorsement on your policy called the OPCF
20-Loss of Use.
Under all Ontario policies, there is rental
car protection when the vehicle is involved in an accident
where it is the other persons fault. The only thing to keep
in mind is that it may take 2-3 days before the other insurance
company and driver accept responsibility for the accident
and you would be left without a car. We recommend that all
drivers add on LOSS OF USE which will cost you $25 a year.
